Sunday being our only full day off we decided to get in a bit of culture. We went to El Museo de las Culturas de Oaxaca! This museum is connected to the Santo Domingo church and is dedicated to honoring the diverse cultures, both past and present, of Oaxaca. Our Spanish has improved enough, that between the two of us, we were able to do the tour without a guide/audio!
Starting off our adventure with a sweet treat! Caramel ice cream!
Look at this library inside!
On top of this clock is a golden chariot. It is very similar to the golden chariot at Parc de Ciutadella I saw last year in Spain.
Some of the artwork under the archways.
This is made out of wood!
Native ceremonial headdress.
A model of Santo Domingo
The original way to make Mezcal!
This has many similarities to the Mexican flag.
A few good knives.

After our adventures in the city our parents picked us up to go to a restaurant by the side of the road. We ordered barbacoa tacos with lamb meat and a quesadilla with a special treat inside!
Our mom and me!
Some mix ins for our tacos!
